# Privacy Policy — Maxwell Spiders

## 1. Summary

Maxwell Spiders is an arcade game for Android and desktop (Linux). The game itself
**collects no personal data**. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no
in-app purchases, and no server of mine that receives any information from you. Game
progress and settings never leave your device.

The Android version displays advertising provided by a third party, Google AdMob,
which may collect data as described below. The desktop version contains no
advertising and collects nothing at all.

## 2. Data I collect

None. I do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any personal data.

## 3. Advertising (Android only)

The Android version shows occasional interstitial (full-screen) ads served by
**Google AdMob** (Google LLC). To serve and measure ads, Google may automatically
collect and process information such as:

- Device identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID
- IP address (from which approximate location may be derived)
- Device and app information (model, OS version, app interactions)
- Ad interaction data (ads shown, tapped, etc.)

This data is collected by Google under its own privacy policies, not mine:

- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google uses information from apps that use its services:
  https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your device settings
(**Settings → Google → Ads**) or at https://adssettings.google.com.

### EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, a consent dialog provided by Google's
certified User Messaging Platform is shown before any personalized advertising.
Ads are personalized only if you consent; otherwise you receive non-personalized
ads. Non-personalized ads do not use your past behavior or profile, but still
require device identifiers and IP addresses to function, prevent fraud, and
measure aggregate performance. You can withdraw or change your consent at any
time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

### California and other US states (CCPA/CPRA and similar laws)

I do not sell your personal information. Because AdMob uses the Advertising ID,
Google's processing may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information
under California law. You can exercise your right to opt out via the device settings
described above.

## 4. Children's privacy

This game is not directed at children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect
personal information from children. Ad requests are tagged accordingly (not under
the age of consent).

## 5. Data retention and security

I retain no data about you because none is collected. Data collected by Google is
retained according to Google's own policies.

## 6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same location
with a new effective date.
